Parkiet: In the first months of 2020, the number of transactions carried out by PE and VC funds decreased. One of the few actual investments was that of Montis Capital in Biotts – a biotech company.
– Biotts is an exception, rather than a rule in these circumstances, as there are virtually no major investments on the market. Nevertheless, during the coronavirus outbreak, we have managed to raise 8 million PLN. This, however, does not alter the fact that the uncertainty and hesitant attitudes on the part of private investors in February were already considerable. They asked a lot of questions as they witnessed the onset of market turbulences, says Konrad Krajewski, Deputy CEO and co-founder of Biotts.
