We are just witnessing an innovative form of anti-diabetic drug being developed in Wrocław. Polish researchers have received more than 11 million PLN from the “Fast Track” competition in the Smart Growth programme to study the drug penetration through the skin into the bloodstream and prepare a relevant therapy implementation.

In the future, this innovative drug form may help some diabetic patients with concomitant diseases, such as peptic ulcers disease, as they will no longer be forced to take a dozen of tablets a day. That is why, Polish scientists seek to develop a new form of anti-diabetic drug, competitive to those available on the market today, the form to deliver selected active substances with an improved release profile.
