Purposes of and legal grounds for the processing.

We will process your personal data that we obtain in connection with your use of our Website:

  • in order to respond to your inquiries sent to our e-mail address published on the Website – based on our legitimate interest as the data controller;
  • in order to analyse your use of the Website, and improve its operation – based on our legitimate interest as the data controller;
  • in order to exercise and defend legal claims, before and out of courts and administrative authorities – based on our legitimate interest as the data controller;
  • for marketing purposes; in particular, if you have signed up for our newsletter and based on your consent – for no longer than until its withdrawal.

Scope of the data processed.

The following personal data of yours will be processed for the purposes indicated above:

When you send a message to the Controller’s e-mail address published on the Website: your first name, e-mail address, information about how you have found us, date and time of sending your inquiry, as well as any other data that you may include in your inquiry.
2.
When you sign up for our newsletter: e-mail address, as well as the date and time of signing up.
3.
In addition, whenever you visit the Website: the IP address of your device and information on how you use our Website.

Transfer of personal data.

We do value the trust that you show by entrusting us with your personal data, and therefore we take all reasonable measures to protect such data. Below you will find information on how we collect and process your data when you use our website (https://www.biotts.com, further: the “Website”).
Your personal data will only be transferred to the processors with which we cooperate based on a contract or other legal act, as well as to other entities related to Biotts based on the legitimate interest of Biotts.
We also use the services of external suppliers in the following areas:

Google Analytics – in order to collect data about how you use our Website. This information is not linked to a specific person, and we only use it to improve the operation of our Website.
2.
Social media plug-ins (Facebook, LinkedIn). If you press their buttons, a direct connection is established to the servers of these media providers, and so they can collect data from your device. Please note that we have no influence over what data are collected by social media when you click their respective buttons. For more information on the purpose of the processing and the scope of data collected by these entities, how they process, use and protect your personal data, as well as your rights and available privacy protection options, please read the respective data security policies/privacy policies of such social media.

We will process your personal data:

  • to answer your requests for contact – between the date when you send your inquiry and the date of our answer or solving the problem that you have reported;
  • in the case of data processing based on your consent, including the consent to receive our newsletter – between the date of your consent and the date of its withdrawal;
  • for archival purposes, as well as to exercise and defend legal claims – starting from the data collection date, throughout the period when our legitimate interest exists, but for not longer than 10 years, or until the effective objection date.

You have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data, obtain copies of your data, rectify them and demand their erasure or restriction of processing;
  • object to the processing – to the extent to which the basis for the processing is our legitimate interest;
  • withdraw your consent at any time – to the extent to which the basis for the processing is your consent, on the proviso that the withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
  • demand the transfer of your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format, as well as request the transfer of your data to another controller – to the extent to which the basis for the processing is your consent; you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and seek a judicial remedy.
  • In order to exercise any of the above-mentioned rights, please contact us, using one of the methods described above. The provision of personal data is voluntary.

Information on the use of cookies:

In order to facilitate the use of the Website, Biotts may save cookies on the user’s computer or mobile device.

Biotts does not collect any information automatically, except for information contained in cookies.

The cookies that we use are safe for the user device. In particular, they cannot be a vehicle allowing for the penetration of user devices by viruses or other unwanted software or malware. These files make it possible to identify the user’s software and customise the Website to each user.

The Website uses the following types of cookies:

  • Session cookies: These are temporary files stored on the user device until the user logs off, leaves the website or disables the software (web browser). Then the information previously saved is permanently deleted from the device memory. The mechanism of session cookies does not allow for the collection of any personal data or confidential information from the user device.
  • Persistent cookies: These are files stored on the user device for the time defined in the cookie parameters (until the files are deleted). Ending the session of any web browser or switching the device off will not delete such files from the user device. The mechanism of persistent cookies does not allow for the collection of any personal data or confidential information from the user device.

The Controller uses the Controller’s cookies for the following purposes related to the Website configuration:

  • Recognising the Website user’s device and its location, and display the Website accordingly, tailored to their individual needs;
  • Remembering the user settings, including interface personalisation, e.g. in terms of the user’s region;

  • Adjusting the website content to the user’s preferences and optimising the overall website experience. In particular, these files make it possible to recognise basic parameters of the user device and display the website accordingly, tailored to their individual needs;

Server logs with the user’s IP address, the request receipt time, the HTTP request line, the HTTP response code, the amount of bytes sent by the server, information about the user’s browser, information about errors that have occurred during the HTTP transaction, information about the type of devices are stored indefinitely.

The Controller may use the above data to generate statistics that will help in the Website administration so as to improve the quality of the services offered. Such summaries are aggregate and do not contain any data allowing for identification of website visitors. These data are not disclosed to other persons or entities.
